Fish Ladder Music Park Grand Opening

The Brenke Fish Ladder is officially reopened to the public under its new name: Fish Ladder Music Park! WIELAND, in partnership with the Community Foundation, proudly delivered its third project to the City of Lansing. Rotary Park, PlayMichigan!, and now the Fish Ladder Music Park all stand as testaments to the strong connection between WIELAND, the Foundation, and the City.

While each project serves a unique purpose and audience, the Fish Ladder now functions as a mini amphitheater and permanent home to Lansing’s DAM JAM, a festival celebrating Michigan artists and a shared love of music. The reimagined Fish Ladder features permanent guest seating, a stage, sound booth, specialty event lighting, and other music-inspired elements, including fencing wrapped with Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, music note bike racks, and benches etched with musical notes.

The park’s grand opening took place on October 24, drawing numerous Lansing residents and project stakeholders to celebrate the occasion. The next time you are in the Old Town area or simply looking for live entertainment, stop by the new Fish Ladder Music Park. There is a little something for everyone!
