Third Annual Chili Cookoff

Chili Chili Bang Bang!

WIELAND’s spicy tradition continues for the third annual chili cookoff. No beans about it, this event had us stepping away from the day-to-day to enjoy time together while putting employees’ taste buds to the test. With 12 different chilis in the mix, the lineup ranged from classic tomato-based recipes to a white chicken chili boldly named “Cat’s Vomit.”

Bringing the heat was this year’s new winner, Amanda Canfield. Her chili earned top honors by a single vote, edging out a four-way tie for second. Her flavorful entry ended Norman Farhat’s two-year win streak.

Nothing says teamwork like a little friendly rivalry and a lot of beans (or no beans… we won’t get into that debate)! Incredible job, everyone, especially our champ, Amanda! Thanks for filling our bellies and making the day great!
