Aerojet Rocketdyne – Building 106 & 107
Camden, AR
As a premier American manufacturer of rocket, hypersonic, and electric propulsive systems, Aerojet Rocketdyne has been a cornerstone of the United States’ Space Program since its inception, with propulsion systems flying on both manned and unmanned NASA missions. Serving critical clients including the Department of Defense, United Launch Alliance, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon, Aerojet Rocketdyne required a specialized campus to support its advanced operations.
Now a subsidiary of L3Harris, WIELAND has been a trusted partner, completing multiple projects for Aerojet Rocketdyne in Camden, AR. This partnership began with the fast-track construction of buildings 106 and 107 for the large solid rocket motor program. WIELAND also supported the design of the 18,000 SF facility, which now serves as the campus’ research and development center. The comprehensive scope of work included numerous additional projects such as B66 Cure Oven, A-14, A-17, and B-33, along with facility communications, controls, occupied additions, and renovations.
Key deliverables featured a highly efficient, precision-controlled curing oven designed to uniformly cure aerospace materials and a new guard post constructed to enhance perimeter security and access control across the campus. This extensive collaboration has provided the robust infrastructure necessary to support the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge propulsion systems, reinforcing Aerojet Rocketdyne’s position as an industry leader.
