Briggs District Library
St. Johns, MI
Since opening in 1998, Briggs District Library has been a cornerstone of the St. Johns, MI community. After more than 25 years without updates, the library needed to create additional space and better serve its patrons.
WIELAND partnered with Merritt Cieslak Design to transform the 9,846 SF facility. The renovation introduced new conference and meeting rooms, a dedicated children’s area, a more accessible entrance, enhanced seating options, and an upgraded circulation desk designed to better welcome and guide guests.
Construction began on September 9, 2024, and was completed in time for the library’s community celebration on March 4, 2025. Today, the renewed Briggs District Library continues its role as a vital hub for learning, connection, and growth in St. Johns.
