Located in the heart of Michigan’s capital city, PlayMichigan! stands as a welcoming beacon to all visitors regardless of age or ability.
The park features a state-of-the-art 10,000 SF all-access playground that includes equipment designed for those with physical and sensory needs. PlayMichigan! features ramps for the handicapped, high and low monkey bars for wheelchair accessibility, and special areas for those with sensory needs.
In addition, the park is also designed with parents and guardians in mind. In total, PlayMichigan! spans 66,000 SF, offering a picnic deck with a pavilion, barrier-free parking, and a large boardwalk along the Grand River that gives access for activities like fishing.
WIELAND, The Capital Regional Community Foundation, and Lansing City officials joined together to celebrate the grand opening of Michigan’s first universally accessible playground in September 2023, welcoming the public to come experience the unique space.
