With roots dating back to 1896, Rio Ammunition’s parent company, MAXAM, is a leader in the explosive ordinance business, supplying civil, military and sporting markets with state of the art munitions. WIELAND was selected to construct Rio’s newest shot gun shell manufacturing operation in Marshall, Texas.
The 105,000 square foot facility is unique in that a section of the building is fireproof, while other areas have blast proof rooms. Construction was H2 Hazardous Occupancy and NEC Class II, Div II compliant.
Keeping pace with customer demand with an eye toward emerging future trends, has positioned Rio as a top shelf player in the consumer and law enforcement ammunition arena.
