South Church, Phase III Chapel

South Church in Lansing has enjoyed a two-decade relationship with WIELAND.  Starting in 1999, WIELAND helped the church complete a major relocation after over 100 years in downtown Lansing.  Phase I was a 60,000 SF sanctuary, classroom and administrative addition; Phase II was a new youth ministry center; and, Phase III came in 2015. 

Phase III – designed by Mayotte Group Architects – included a 500-seat chapel addition, administrative wing, and additional parking spaces, spanning 19,219 SF. WIELAND completed Phase III in February 2015.   

South Church Senior Pastor Don Denyes said, “The work of WIELAND far exceeded our expectations. WIELAND worked hard to protect our budget, and the building is high quality. We are thrilled with the result, and we enjoy using this new space.”
