Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council

The Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council connects the Shreveport community with Barksdale Air Force Base, supporting both current and former service members. Through events like golf outings and cookouts, the council raises funds for initiatives such as Roots for Boots, which pairs first-time soldiers with residents, and Operation Bright Holiday, helping active military members reunite with their families during the holidays.

On December 4, John Person, Business Development Manager, was named the Military Affairs Council Volunteer of the Year.
