Sofidel Ground Break – Inola, OK

On Thursday, June 4, hundreds of people gathered in Inola, OK, just outside of Tulsa, to celebrate the groundbreaking of a major addition to Sofidel’s tissue plant. Sofidel is an Italian corporation and a Top-5 market share leader in the production of tissue in North America. WIELAND was chosen as the Construction Manager for over 1.0M SF of new production and warehousing space, with a total state investment of ~$750M. This marks WIELAND’s second large-scale project for Sofidel, having previously built in Circleville, OH, in 2024.

Oklahoma Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell was joined by numerous other local municipal leaders to celebrate the project. Sofidel Global CEO Luigi Lazzareschi spoke and led a group of Italian executives in an official groundbreaking. Sofidel has operations in 11 US states. This new project is officially underway and is expected to be completed by May 2028.
