MSU School of Planning, Design, and Construction

WIELAND was glad to host Michigan State University students from the School of Planning, Design, and Construction (MSU SPDC) and the Construction Management program for a site visit on October 22.

The group toured the Delhi Fire Station project site, learning about the ongoing work, coordination, and safety practices that drive project success. Following the tour, the group engaged in a Pull Planning Session to introduce the students to Lean Construction Principles and collaborative scheduling methods used in the field. This visit provided valuable insight into how planning and execution come together on active job sites – a great example of industry and academia working hand in hand.
