WIC Spotlight – Amanda Canfield

“There are so many avenues to be a part of.”

For Amanda Canfield, WIELAND’s Controller, that’s the message she shares with women considering a career in construction. The industry is far more diverse than many realize, offering opportunities well beyond the jobsite.

Amanda joined WIELAND 26 years ago after a chance conversation at her bank led her to the company’s accounting department. What started as a random encounter became a lasting career in construction and an opportunity to help shape the company from within.

Today, Amanda is committed to opening that same door for others. An avid supporter of Junior Achievement and the 2025 JA Volunteer of the Year, she has led classroom activities and supported events like the Girls Dream Fair to introduce young women to construction opportunities.

By championing the diversity within the industry, Amanda is helping the next generation see that there is more than one path into construction and the countless ways women in construction are making an impact.
